Actually, it's a birthmother I know....she has said that she really
doesn't want her son to find his father -- who, it seems, really IS all
those things that angry women assert about the man who left them. But,
after she lost a child recently (died at age 19), she's said more and more
often that she doesn't want to know that surrendered son; I feel that this
is really a desire to know what happened to him.
But I did promise that I'd not find him without her permission.

*sigh* "Engineers just LOVE to change things." -- Dr. McCoy. I hope
it's working by now.
You have to be persistant when you try to get on the Freenet. I found
that calling about 10 am worked well, and about 1 pm. And, of course,
at those ungodly times during which no reasonable person is awake.

Hey, when a baby is to be adopted at birth, does the baby have the
hospital bracelet removed and replaced with something without the
child's name? If so, does the birth mother keep it? (I think my
two had plastic bracelets marked with the pediatrician's name,
the date of birth and "BG [or BB] Holt.")

KW> ... "File Not Found"...what computers and adoption agencies both say!!
At least, with computers it's a simple statement and not a judgement.
... Proof of genetic randomness: my adoptive family is normal.
