Being well off to some people means to indulge in excess while with others they minimalize with the best they can buy and save for rainy day. :) Know what I mean? I know a couple who remodled a 1910 home (this in Vancouver, BC). It's not huge, nor ornate, but beautiful with quality workmanship. What I am saying is. I'd rather have a small hosue I can afford to furnish with good furniture (and not in excess) and accessories etc.. and of course good kitchen appliances- than a HUGE house left half bare. I've seen this happen. People buy more than they can afford or want to have to keep up. This notiton of more is better isn't so. It's just what big business wants us to believe. What's that expression about he who wants for the least has the most?
