Dear Teresa, 
    Thanks for the input.   My sewing needs  are not heavy enough to 
justify buying one of the expensive ones.  When i took sewing in school 
i got in big trouble because i was too lazy to put in and take out all 
those pins.  Perhaps my complaints are just an excuse.  
   When one is using a complex pattern, it is best to do exactly as 
instructed.  I probably haven't done that a dozen times in my life.  I 
always have to fool with it somehow.  A large part of the admonitions 
aimed at me in my life amounted to: Jean, you have to walk before you 
can run!!!.
