OS2 Commander you highlight the self extracting file, then use the key combo
of Ctrl A and the files are listed also. OS2C works with zips, arj and lhz
self extracting archives. It works with most all regular archives though, and
you can define your own in it's config file. I personally detest
self-extracting archives, and they should be banned totally for most
everything other than distributing the compression program itself, IMO.

I used SHEZ myself until I got OS2 Commander, which I thought was more elegant
than SHEZ. Much cleaner and made everything very consistant (as does FC/2 I
imagine) Shez reminds me of LIST, in that they try to be a file manager when
the sole purpose was something else. FC/2 and OS2C are file managers and they
natuarally include managing files in archives as well. Sort of the dog
wagging the tail rather than the tail wagging the dog.

I use OS2 Commander for everything, it is always running on my system, and
comes up at boot up, along with CRON, my BBS and an OS/2 Window. It does
about everything I can think of, and, when Wolfgang was active and receptive
to ideas, the only thing I could think of I wanted was to increase the command
line to more than 80 characters, which he did, and a method to save the color
configurations, which he did. Their are a couple of minor nats I'd like to
see fixed, but I guess that won't be happening, but I can easily live with
them.

Good to see you still around Gord.
