subject: Count-out: HHH vs. Shelton Benjamin

Message-ID:

I noticed that in the recent Raw rematch between Triple H and Shelton
Benjamin that the referee was very diligent in counting to 10. Shelton
Benjamin won the match via count out. It's just my opinion, but to be
somewhat believeable, shouldn't there be a count when wrestlers are
out of the ring for EVERY match? I KNEW that SB was going to win VIA
COUNT OUT even before the match started! I know that wrestling's not
really a sport, but come on! A "rigged" match like this is akin to a
baseball umpire not calling balls & strikes for 90% of baseball
matches; then in one match start calling B&S and a team wins via a
bases loaded walk!
Also, if I remember correctly, in the "red, white & blue rope era"
(1980's), didn't refs count to TWENTY before DQing wrestlers? Why not
simply bring back the 20 count for every match instead of a lousy 10
count for "when we feel like it" mathces?
