It's called coalition building. We don't have to be in total agreement 
with our allies on every single issue - just on the 2nd Amendment. I've 
worked for plenty of candidates that I had serious disagreements with. 
We just have to decide what's important.

At the very least, the NRA should be providing members with accurate 
information on candidates. As things stand right now, an incumbent can 
be safe from opposition by only giving minimal support to gunowners.
My Congressman is an excellent case in point. Tom Davis gained NRA 
support by running against a rabid, frothing-at-the-mouth, anti-gun 
Democrat. After being elected, he voted for Brady and the Crime Bill. 
Since he's never going to face a Democrat more pro-gun than he is, he'll 
be save from NRA opposition forever... *unless* the NRA gets involved in 
primaries. Then Davis will have to do something positive to get support.
