This is what I understand you to be saying:
Carl Sagan said that there's not enough evidence that aliens are
visiting Earth. This is somehow "offhanded" because he may have ignored
he
possibility that the aliens were trying not to leave evidence.
Am I right?
If so, what difference does it make? Sagan said that there's not enough
evidence that aliens are visiting Earth. If there is no evidence because
visting aliens are careful not to leave any, how does that make his position
any less true?
