You don't have to wait, it's part of the California law that
isn't being enforced at the moment.  The law applies to *any*
place that has employees who work more than X hours per month.
This includes full-time housekeepers, live-in baby sitters,
live-in nurses etc..  It already applies in private homes.
The only places it doesn't apply in California is on Federal
Reservations (military bases and indian reservations).  The
Indian Gaming Casinos are cashing in big-time on the exception.
