      Thank you so much for taking all the time to type all those helps. 
I have taken them to hardcopy, so as to have them when i next go to war 
with my sewing machine.   RE an expensive machine; the most co operative 
machine i have ever used was one my lord bought [over my protests] for 
$5 at a yard sale.  Before that, even with a new machine, the only way 
that i could sew for 10 minutes steady was for my lord to stay in the 
room and keep it scared. Even that didn't work over 10 minutes.  With 
the $5 machine i could work for half an hour before everything went 
awry.  We sent for [ and paid more for] an instruction book for it than 
we did for the machine.
