Einstein came along. Relativity. Light is fastest. Space-time. Got it.
Until Bell came along and quantum mechanics...

Whose handle do you have? What evidence have you pursued to accept the
current views of reality's constituants? What evidence are you competent to
judge? Are God and humility both dismissed? Every idea, every opinion,
every conclusion has been originally cast in your towering intellect? Tell
me please in what ways is your life better, more satisfying, more
productive than a theists desire to live that well and significantly?
(There is no significance in your life, is there. Is there? Nothing to
grasp beyond your reach? I have absolutely no problem with you being an
atheist. (My church is not seeking members:-) - My problem is despite a lot
of sociological evidence, you believe in being amazingly hostile to persons
having different world-views. I certainly don't think mine is the only one
to have.
In Sum: Negativity is bad karma. :-)!
