True, no problem there. The thing is that most people sell barbs as a decent 
"community" fish, when in fact, my experience has led me to believe them 
incompatible in that environment.
I run a slightly salty environment, around a tablespoon per 8-10 gallons, 
just as a disease preventative. Even then, the little buggers would up and 
die sooner or later.
