 Sigh. Roy. The article was neutral. And I for one have a very
conservative opinion of "art". Please don't let 'source' determine for
you whether an article is worthy of your own interpretation or not.
It's actually beneficial  if not practice- to read 'from both sides'.
Now the only 'sides' otther than the two you and I are talking about
(and they do shift back and forth depending on the issue at hand with
all of us)- are the extremes at both ends. Now those are the ones to
worry about.

I think of Art as being junk art or pure art. Junk Art It hink
predominates now and this is a sad thing.

I mean no matter what your bias bent is- just how much talent/skill/
perception etc does it take to preduce some of the stuff we are
suppsed to accept as so called "Modern Art"?

Look at Impressionism and Realism art; the Classics. The Masters.
These people are gifted. They take what they see and transport it to
the canvas in such a way that it boggles the mind. The careful balance
of colors and light to produce dimention- takes skilll. Not just
anybody can do that.

Now take "Modeqarn Art" ... sigh. Just about  ANYBODY can do that.

And this isn't a Conservative or Liberal  view. To me it's simply the
truth.

As for the article , I didn't finish it. There's too many people
calling themselves artists and I don't know why other than they do it
because the can. They get people to THINK what they do is 'art'...
and then charge their rent/lifestyle needs for it..

 Roy. I am very very sorry you feel this way about what I commented
on. It was not political! Now don' you think you're being a tad too
sensitive? Reading into what isn't there?

A friend send me  a GOFLING joke! Four people I sent it to all thought
it was funny. ONE person who is a Conservative thought it was
'conservative bashing'. The rest of us looked at the joke and couldn't
figure it out. Well he explained and I told him the reference could
have been anybody...  sigh.

See? Sometimes, Roy, A cake is just a cake. (And yes this is a
different take on the original.)
