| subject: | what`s with the winter |
CH> :) I do remember. But why would people escaping Northern winter want CH> to name a place here in warm sunny Floriday 'winter" :) RW> As can easily be determined by the name of a small community in the RW> California desert called WinterHaven. In the winter time, it's full of RW> people from the states where they have winter. In the summer, it's RW> deserted. "Yuma? Where is that?" "Oh, about 10 miles east of RW> Winterhaven, CA on I-8." That's cool. That way half a year ya get more peace and quite, and such. The only problem is for small businesses. A couple small malls are dead in those smaller towns, all losing out to Orlando and then again Orlando's Waterford Lakes shopping area got a bit too big for it's britches. The original shopping plaza has 100 % occupancy and is very popular... the extended newer shopping area across the newer newer one down the road , very nice too... empty.
