Or... Confessions of a computer show junkie.
Went to a Computer Fest in Dayton... reputed biggest in Midwest
or does that refer to the "fish" like me swimming around between
vendors, waiting to be "reeled in"?
Well anyway, I saw this beautiful internal modem laying with a bunch
of old expansion slot cards... drive controllers, network cards etc.
Full length card (8-bit contacts of course) with a 2-inch speaker
and built like a bank vault. It was marked $4 but she said "give
me $3", knowing a mackerel when she saw one, and I did. Who knows,
it might be a 14,400, right? Well, maybe not. Got it home and
started reading the impeccably printed annotations more closely.

Some other magnifying glass size letters... Hmmmmmm
Well, by I'm now getting that sinking 1200 baud feeling! About
those socked chips, it's not possible to upgrade by replacing
those is it? As I was buying this "work of art", I remembered
something about Hayes offering a big trade-in on ANY HAYES MODEM,
or did I dream that? Anybody know anything about this thing?
Users Guide??? Oh, come on now!!! Oh yeah, there are 3-dip
switches on a red block near the screw slot. These are marked
"on" with an unmarked "off" position and numbered 1, 2, and 3.
Com 1, 2 & 3 maybe?
Anybody know where there's a sale on picture frames?
