GR>Ever thought about using a mini/midi stereo system and connecting the
GR>sound card to that? Mine soundz terrific!!!!
Well, think with me on this arrangement. With my little
knowledge of audio, mixed in with the computer forsight, I have come
across with this:
In a Computer Shopper magazine, I saw 300watt speakers
advertised for about 80 bucks. A month later I was told these things
are really big, for I never saw a picture, or any other specs than
watts. Now I also hear that watts is not the sole factor in this whole
mess... :)
What I was thinking that the low price of these things means
many things. First, the high watts will sound REALLY low, and I will
have to amplify the throughput that the sound card is trickling through
the speakers. Second, shielding might be weak, and with all of this
metal around my room... something strange may happen. Third, the thing
pops a day after I get it. Fourth, they're big and sound horrible up
close.
Perhaps the 180watts would be a tad more ethical. I don't know
So here's your go..... :)
