Along those lines, Gone with the Wind is still #1, after adjusting for
inflation and population increase.
And yes, SW would beat Titanic under those conditions.
Point is, a MUCH larger percentage of people went to the movies MUCH more
often in the 30's-50's than we could ever imagine. (Well, maybe you could,
if you didn't have the TV.)
