Jim,  A couple of years a woman and I were driving to a disaster dog seminar 
down near Holly Springs, about 50? miles south of Memphis.  As we were riding 
around the river area (downtown) of Memphis, we were rubbernecking like any 
tourists saying "Oh, look at that one!"  and "oo,check that over there", but 
what we were looking at was the construction of all those beautiful old 
buildings.  Very few of them had any reenforcement at all and most didn't 
even have any soldier rows in
all that brick.  When the New Madrid fault goes that whole city is going to 
pop like a cheap prophylactic.   If it is during the day when everyone is 
downtown, there is going to be incredible slaughter.
