subject: Found a problem with Warp 4.0`s PPP.exe

Hello All!
I thought that I was loosing what little sanity I have left with this
problem, but I discovered the answer.
I did a no-no by installing OS/2 Warp 4.0 over Warp 3.0 FP26. However
everything worked with the exception of the DOIP program. I would start it
and it appeared as if it was not calling SLATTACH properly. I tried to start
SLATTACH to call PPP. I would get an error that none of my three comports
were working. So, I thought, see if PPP will run with my PPPOPTS.DAT file.
No-go. It would start, but then stop when it was supposed to "talk" to my
modem. Cntrl-C killed it off. Did this several times, including one
unnecessary reboot of the system. Then I thought that I copied my PPP.exe
from Warp 3.0 with the IAK fix. I switched them around and all is working.
So, it appears as if the PPP.exe from Warp 4.0 is broken and might be the
cause of other problems I experienced before I removed one of my drives.
Anyone else found this to be the case?
James
