RW> Recently in two newsgroups I read the topic of inappropriate sound in RW> films came up, such as animal noises dubbed in in post production that RW> aren't indigenous to the part of the world depicted. THis is from RW> filmsound.com and was kindly posted to this thread. tHought some of RW> you would have some fun reading these: RW> Film Sound Stereotypes and Common Logic Flaws This is great! And there's also video glitches too. And have you ever noticed when you watch a movie set in the tropics? There never seem to be any pesky bugs? Oh and in most hospital scenes the patient looks like she or he just got out of the beauty salon? heh. Pay attention to scenes out in broad daylight. Continuity is very difficult in out of door situations because of the weather. If say two or three subsequent scenes are filled on a gloomy over cast day you can't shoot the next scene (that takes place only a few minutes after the first)... if the sun is showing through. That's why indoor scenes with no shadows/ all lighting controlled, are far easier especially on the budge. OH and the actors too! If a scene is delayed for MONTHS. the actor/actress may have lost /gained weight or say got a mysterious black eye or something that has to be explained. Cindy ...
