Here's a couple of different crochet stitches I ran across...
HONEYCOMB STITCH: Make a chain the length required.
Row1 *Insert the hook in the 3d st of the ch, draw a loop thru; yo;
insert hook in next ch; draw a loop thru. Now draw a loop thru all 3; ch
1, take up the 3 loops; draw together and make a single crochet over it; ch
1, and repeat from * to end of row.
Row2 Ch 3 st at beg of row; make the 1st loop in the sc over the shell of
the preceding row, the 2d loop in the 1st double loop of the 2d shell, the
3d loop in the sc of the 2d shell, and proceed as before.
PINEAPPLE STITCH: Make a chain the length required.
Row1 Draw yarn thru 4th st from hook, skip 1 ch, draw thru next ch and draw
thru the 3 loops on hook; ch 1. *Draw loop thru the same st as last loop,
skip 1 ch, draw thru next ch, draw thru the 3 loops on hook; ch 1. Repeat
from * to end of row. Break off.
Row2 Fasten yarn thru ch of 1st row; ch 4. Draw loop thru 1st space, thru
2d space, thru the 3 loops on hook; ch 1. *Draw loop thru space last used,
thru next space, thru the 3 loops on hook; ch 1. Repeat from * to end of
row. Break off. Repeat 2d row.
