Make sure the end connectors metal contacts split where they go into the
wire - better connectivity. Also, when looking for a crimper, look for one
where the crimp block comes down vertically instead of at an angle. Cost
you anywhere from $25 to $50... my $25 is an exact clone of the $50 one.

You might also look for multiple RJ crimp spots - so you can do RJ-9 and
RJ-11 as well as RJ-45.
