>Homemade orange spice tea:
LH>Ingredients for one jar (makes one mug):
LH>One of those pretty canning jars *with canning lid, that will hold about
>a mug's worth of water.
LH>One of the following:
>small peice of muslin, cheese cloth(?), aida cloth, very small holed
>plastic canvas(?), recycled tea towel, one cup coffee maker filter, or a
>regular size filter cut to fit. Might want to hem recycled tea towel or
>aida cloth if you choose to use that.
LH>small card, pretty peice of paper, or homemade stationery.
LH>two hairbands and/or some ribbon (crocheted, knitted, macramed hemp?)
LH>hole punch
LH>one tea bag or 1&1/2 teaspoons loose leaf tea
LH>3/4 teaspoon dried orange peel
LH>one small whole clove or tiny pinch of ground clove
LH>1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon or or maybe about 1/4 of a small cinnamon
>stick, broken up
LH>Instructions:
LH>Put tea, orange peel, clove, and cinnamon into jar. Put filter or
>material over opening and secure with lid. Punch hole in upper left
>corner of card or paper. Write these instructions on it:
LH>To enjoy your homemade orange spice tea, simply remove cover part of
>lid, rescrew ring part, leaving filter in place. Pour boiling water
>into jar, let steep 1&1/2--3 minutes. Again, leaving filter in place,
>pour tea into cup or mug. Add sugar and/or cream to taste. Enjoy.
