RW> HEard of a lot of those. I don't notice them as much being a blind I doubt many of us DO Notice, Richard until they're pointed out to us. Then next time we see that movie we will notice. Continuity is a real challenge for film makers that is for sure. We don't realize it, as viewers. Gives me a bit more respect for them knowing how hard it can be. In the show "LOST" we're told by one of the cast members you have to get back into the same grimy clothes... You're all clean coming to the set, you go to the dressing trailer and 'get dirty'. Now. Imagine. This show has had one month long hiatus after another. SO after MONTHS they have to get back into the same dirty clothes. I think the clothes are laundered then made to be dirty.. I don't know. One funny thing about Lost is this one character "Dan" - I keep wondering when he will lose the tie. :) It's okay if you don't watch that show. It's just that one character. He's got a white shirt and black tie on (white tee under shirt)..and it's always clean looking somehow.) He's one of those mad scientist/ professor types. ................... RW> man, but I sure do notice the audio flubs. I"m an audio professional RW> too, though, and that makes them even more noticeable. wITh all these RW> different system, 5.1 surround sound, etc. it seems the audio has RW> gotten worse, not better. Except for where I've seen them in captions I never have. And some of those were doozies. Misspellings galore. Hubby has the TV with surround sound. The dogs hate it .................. RW> A friend told me of a scene in GOne with the wINd iirc where you could RW> see truck tire tracks on the ground, and in another film that was Really!? I'm going to look for that next time if I ever see that film again. Thanks! I once found a movie blooper site, maybe it's still there. I'll Google for it. I recall one story saying how they had a scene shot PERFECTLY except for one itty bitty oops in the review mirror of the car. MY favorite blooper was in the made for TV movie about Napoleon and Josephine. The romance. There is an ambush attempt. As his carriage is coming around the corner you see the rebels about to light a cannon... WITH A BIC LIGHTER! I kid you not. This was back in the `80`s (the movie that is.) Tom Shales, a tv critic wrote up on it in the tv weekly magazine. I am terrible remembering names. I'm surprised I remember his. Some names just stick to you. ................... RW> supposed to be a period piece where you could see a construction crane RW> in the background. There are a lot of blooopers in period pieces. I would not be surprised if some fool movie maker of the future (or even now) makes a period film of say the 60's and shows people on cell phones. A real confusing will come in where a sci fi movie made in say 1980 set in the 23rd century has the Characters time travel back to 1999 and told to be discrete with their Communicators (which could be explained away as pagers though at that time). Seen now though it wouldn't be unusual at all because people were using cell phones in 99?? Or maybe a few years later. I think you get what I am trying to say? :) (The movie I'm citing is "Star Trek Return HOme" I"m not sure of the year but it was in the 80's. .................. RW> I recall a few years ago a friend of mine from the film sound world RW> complained about a western he was working on. THey set this one scene RW> in a nice old country barn that just fit the period nicely, without RW> thinking that they'd have to dub all the dialogue in in post RW> production because the noise of the airport kinda ruined the period RW> feel . OH my gosh. Details details details! :) I recall a movie set in 1911 where a character was wearing a modern day digital watch. And there was a car that had not been built that year. (It was a 1920 model.) Cindy ...
