Some have been, but others they steadfastly refused to
declassify. Um, let me timestamp that. This was as of a few
years ago (1993 - '94) when an acquaintance of mine was doing
some research related to the political climate then. The feeling
he got was that it would be ... um, "imprudent" of the government
to declassify them - at least at that time. However, with the
current trend of apologizing to everyone for just about
everything, that may have changed.
