Quake runs just fine on my 486dx/66, even with the BBS online.  A little 
slow, but what do ya expect.  Sound engine works great even with my old SB 
pro.

Try these settings.  I've had pretty good success with these setting, 
although I don't yet have Duke3D.  Also, I run SIO, so the COM settings don't 
apply.
