subject: CD-R for Music CDs

I had my doubts about the PC CD Burners and the quality that would
follow from copying better CDs. But I tried numerous "test and demo" CDs as
well as a couple Japanese CDs that are known for their excellent recording
techniques and I could not tell the difference in an A/B test on anything
from a very high end system to my 4Runner Alpine CD changer.
So again, I was wrong and the "bits is bits" as long as everything is
functioning correctly, holds true. I was curious about sampling rates, etc,
and that too played no part.
The only hold up is the price of good quality CD blanks. They cost
almost as much as the music CDs themselves. Or I should say about 65%. At
least in this area.
Cheers, John
