Dear Donna,
WE found the couch very quickly. At the salvation army thrift
store. The covering is in terrible shape, in other words, it looks
like Hades struck with a club, but it is strong structurally, and high
enough to get my arthritic body and my lord's disabled back out of
without struggle. Nouph said.
As for getting the furniture manufacturers to get with the program,
i see little hope. They can't seem to see the 'graying of America'.
Incidental, my solution to the couch's appearance, was to go to Big
Lots and buy an $8 throw in a South West pattern. I don't like it, but
the other choice that was big enough, was plain white. That wouldn't
do, as we have both dog and cat in the house. My soul sister Anne [the
one that does the wonderful carving] suggested that i get some yard goods
that i do like and sew it to the throw. Maybe so.
Shalom, ll
