I've also heard of a .45acp failing to stop a person after 7 shots.
Stories just don't prove anything, police stories aren't much better for 
several reasons.  I think the .45 is a better stopper than a 9mm, but to 
say a 9mm is ineffectual or not even in the same class is downright 
rediculous.  Show me one person who is afraid of a .45acp who is willing 
to take a shot with a 9mm.
Oh, and by the way, .40 S&W beats them both! :-)
