> Okee we got a brand new double brush/comb sort of deal > for grooming > our dogs who have both short and long hair. (The old > brush/comb combo > was losing heads off the pins on the comb side.) > The instructions for grooming say to always start at > the rear and work > your way forward. I wonder why? Other sources say > start at the head > and work your way to the rear... which makes sense > when ya figure how > the hair grows. :) You brush/comb with the direction the fur grows. But, if you start at the rear and get out all the knots there, first, then when you go forward a little bit and comb back from there, you've only got knots in the uncombed part, and the rear is already combed out. Instead of starting at the head and fighting snarled hair all the way back. ---* Origin: T E X A S ! (1:382/48) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 382/48 3613/1275 123/500 106/2000 633/267 |
