Add the following line to your prefs.js file:

  user_pref("os2.mail.sound", "c:\\os2\\apps\\dragon.wav");

Where "c:\\os2\\apps\\dragon.wav" is the complete path and name to a .wav
file you want played when mail arrives.  Note that the double backslashes
in the line are NOT a typo.  "dragon.wav" just happens to be the file I
use.  You may choose any .wav you like.

Note that the file will only be played when new mail has arrived and the
inbox is empty or no mail is unread.  If there is unread mail already in
the inbox the sound will not play when additional mail is received until
all is read.
