You are 100% correct!  I've had this same discussion several times now,
not relating to computers, however.  21st century starts 1/1/2001.  VERY
true.  Again, you are correct.
Now.......for COMPUTERS, a problem begins 1/1/00.
I think the countdown above relates to computer problems and not
anything to do with a new millenium.
