On that last one, we do not know that.  We only have the Vorlon's word
that they even need to breath.  Given how secretive they are, it's just
as plausible that they don't need to breath and use that as an
opportunity to claim that their atmospheric needs are so exotic that
it's poisonous to everyone else.
