When he gets caught out, on anything, he lashes out.
When he is contradicted by his own experts, he lashes out.
Nothing is ever his fault, but whoever he wants to blame.

I met a professional boxer some years ago at a local chess club.
He won more fights than he lost, making quite a bit during his career.
We played a few games of skittles (far safer than boxing), and we all
asked him how he was able to win so many boxing matches.

He got up from his table, and explained by doing.  Stand in the
ring, and dare your opponent to punch the lights out of you.  At
the same time, make sure you connect with punches of your own.

After landing a few punches, your opponent will start lashing out
in a flailing manner, never landing any hard punches, if any punches
at all.  Meanwhile, your own punches continue to have devastating
consequences as your own punches are still straignt and on target ...

It's all over for the president.  Poll numbers are showing him
15 points down in key battleground states, and even lower elsewhere.
Even some of his own strongholds are now in his opponent's camp ...
