| subject: | Internet Rex & Terminate |
-> On 18 May 07 21:27:37, Robert Wolfe got back to All -> Re: Internet Rex & Terminate RW> I was wondering if anyone was using Internet REx with Terminate's RW> TerMail utility and if so, if they could post the info needed to set RW> IREX up with Termail. If you have both programs already set up, it's quite easy. Verify where your In and Outbound directories are in TERMINATE. Most likely, they will be C:\TER500\IN and C:\TER500\OUT\ZONE Go into IREX configuration (REXCFGW for Win). Select "Files, Paths & Programs" then "Frontend Mailer". Change the "Inbound Directory" and "Outbound Directory" to match the paths that are used for TERMINATE. That's it! What you have done is substitute IREX for TERMINATE. Instead of dialing out with TERMINATE, IREX does the mail run for you. And, you can still use the TERMINATE Point module to do a dialout if needed. Bear in mind, there still may be parametersd to be set in IREX. It will need to know how you connect to the internet. Also, it will need to know where to find the node(s) you contact as well as your password to log in and get your mail. Though IREX already knows where to place new mail and find your outgoing, it's going to need how the packets are set, such as Bink, etc. As above, if you already have IREX logging into your node and getting mail, that should be it. (unless you want to run BLUEWAVE for your OLR!) Yes, I use BW as my OLR. I rarely use TM as my reader. --- OMX/Blue Wave/DOS v2.30* Origin: Soundly on the Fault Line (1:138/666.0) SEEN-BY: 633/267 @PATH: 138/666 146 140/1 123/500 379/1 633/267 |
