I've got his book, "Anguished English", and it is an absolute riot.
I actually got to meet the author at the World Championship Pun-Off
in Austin, Texas several years ago (usually held in late April or
early May...proceeds benefit the O. Henry Museum).
The humor there is drier than the Sahara...and has 2 levels of
competition:
1) Punniest Of Show. The contestant prepares a punny skit, usually
60 seconds in length, but no more than 90 seconds. It can be full
of puns, or have one big one at the end. At 90 seconds, a bell rings,
and points are deducted. At 2 minutes, a second bell rings, and the
contestant is disqualified.
2) High Lies And Low Puns. Two contestants go head to head in a pun
category. They have 5 seconds to make a pun, and it goes back and
forth, until one can't meet the 5 second timer. They can not use the
same pun twice.
