Dear Ruth,
Oh my! does that sounds like a pretty dress. I wish that i could
machine sew. Wouldn't you think with all the things i do , that i would
be able to do basic clothing construction??? But no, sewing machines
hate me. All machines hate me, but of all the things that i must deal
with on a fairly regular basis, the sewing machines are the worst.
Their favorite tricks are: cut the thread, break the needle, or wad the
thread up underneath. My poor husband is constantly being called to
rescue me, when i have to use the sewing machine.
Re calligraphy; Did you know that there are left handed pens. I can
easily see why your couldn't work properly with a right handed one, in
your left hand. Yes, practice is the entire key in this art.
I mentioned using the ornaments to lose weight, for a laugh, but
since i have been working with my mixture [the one suggested by an aroma
therapist] i have found my apettite much reduced. What the hey????
I have asked my lord for computer softwear to teach me to read
music, as my Christmas gift. [ The computer taught me to touch type]
You would think that such a course would be readily available, since it
is so basic. We are having a devil of a time finding one that is not
tied to a keyboard. Wouldn't it make sense to expose any child to a
game type sight reading of music and then, it could be applied to any
instrument [for me voice]. If it is fun it could surely save parents
the money and fuss of lessons and instrument rental. I think i tried
5 instruments, no joy on any of them.
God grant you and yours a Joyous Christmas and a blessed
New Year. Shalom, ll
