-> And **You're** the one who has to be comfortable with a vote that
-> will help send Clinton back for four more years. If you're not,
-> maybe **YOU** need to think this through again. If you are, then go
-> ahead and vote for Browne.
If Clinton is re-elected, the blame cannot be entirely laid upon
Browne voters. We *all* are to blame BECAUSE we should have gotten
behind pro-gun presidential contenders THREE-1/2 YEARS AGO. If 70
million gun owners had become politically active for a PRO-gun
party/candidate back in 1993 (immediately after Clinton took office),
in preparation for the 1996 elections, we would have had a real
pro-gun contender vying for the presidency right now.
We all are at fault because, as a whole, us gun owners sat back
and let the MAJOR parties (the demo-publicans) DECIDE WHAT OUR
CHOICES WERE GOING TO BE. (caps for emphasis, not shouting).
At the present time, our choices are being made FOR us. We are
forced to choose the lesser of two evils, because we did not involve
ourselves EARLY enough to formulate our own choices, in other words, put
up candidates who would be GOOD to choose from.
Even if we could have converted or convinced even half of the 70 million
gun owners over the last 3.5 years, then 35 million pro-gun (or even
Libertarian) voters would be making a REAL difference right now.
I still don't agree 100% with Guy, but he's right on the point about
how we have let ourselves be played like pawns because so many of us sat
back and *ASSUMED* that the Republicans/Conservatives were going to take
care of us and our rights.
