In addition the effective methods mentioned here: Graphics - You're depending on the user to correctly type in the E-mail address from the graphic. Web page form - if the user needs a reply, you're depending on them to correctly type in their E-mail address. I came up with a one-off form of Javascript scrambling such that it could not be harvested unless the harvester fully renders all javascript on the page and looks at the resulting code for E-mail address. This results in a clickable link for browsers with Javascript enabled. You might be able to find something like this out there. I can't say for sure if the spammers have javascript-executing harvesting robots yet though.
