BL> As I said earlier, a do-it-yourself alarm is best. Professional BL> thieves and even dickheads soon learn how to disarm even the BL> best systems. If you do it yourself, no one but you knows what BL> you've done. RM> Just a thought - use the secret switch to rerun the start RM> contact from the starter solenoid to a second dummy solenoid RM> just bolted to the frame somewhere. End effect - click, click, RM> click, no crank. Should feel more like a dead engine than a RM> modified wiring setup. When you disconnect the computer, all that happens is that there is no fuel pump and no spark. The engine turns over happily, and everyone comes out to see the dickhead who can't get his car to start. That way you get a built-in alarm. The only problem is that every time I hear a car that won't start, I think it's someone stealing my car!
