Have you tried typing SVGA ON at the prompt in a full-screen DOS
session? It creates the SVGADATA.PMI in the \OS2 directory on the boot
drive (OS/2 Warp Unleashed, page 504). It enables the SVGA video VDD to
support extended graphics modes of the SVGA adapter. If you have
changed video cards, you should type SVGA OFF to delete the old file
before executing SVGA ON, since the SVGADATA.PMI file is specific to the
machine and adapters.
OS/2 Warp Unleashed continues to suggest that if you have problems, and
can boot a specific version of DOS from disk or boot manager, that you
execute the command from there. It would then be SVGA ON DOS. This
creates a file called SVGADATA.DOS, and you can compare it with the .PMI
file from the full-screen VDD. If there is a difference, you can rename
the SVGADATA.DOS file to SVGADATA.PMI and restart OS/2.
Hope this helps,
Stephen
