subject: file format error

While writing to disk with an engraving tool, Phil went on about file format
error to David Chord
DC> Have you tried either recompiling them, or makeing a
DC> second installation of Max (Well away from your current
DC> installation), then movign the MEX files into place?
PM> For some reason, Max has straightened itself out. I don't know why
PM> (and don't really care), but I'm no longer getting the error
 PM> messages.
When Max3/3.01 came out, I repleatedly tried to upgrade, but the message
editor wasn't going to work for me (If a user was quoting something, the top
window wouldn't update until the quote window was closed). I created a second
BBS on my system, which worked fine, yet the original one *still* wouldn't
work. A few months latr it decided to work, happily..
