It happens at all levels ... although in a SERIOUS network you
usually buy a Server package with enough built-in to cover your
expansions.  Swapping motherboards is left to the workstation.
For $3-5 thousand you can get a REAL server with DUAL-SCSI, 
Hot-Swap, bootable CD .... etc.
