Thanks for all the replies to the problem I had with a TR7 jumping 50 or =
100 cycles while listening to the calibrator or a cw signal. I went =
through the usual pulling and cleaning of the VCO, and the pass band =
tuning card since these two handle the oscillators for the radio. I =
cleaned the PTO thoroughly as well. The problem persisted and finally I =
noticed a blip on the receive 10 volt bus; pulled the power supply =
board and cleaned all contacts, readjusted the 10 volt supply and we're =
back in business. The minor change in the 10 volt rail was shifting the =
VCO, VCXO or the BFO, hence the frequency shift.
