Carl,
CW>I went to Cayman Brac to do some wall diving so I was very
CW>disappointed. If you are intersted in wall diving as I am,
CW>I would recommend a place outside of the Cayman Islands.
Have you ever been to CoCo View Resort on the island of Roatan, Honduras?
If you want wall diving, this is the place to go! I sent Steve a copy of
the review I put out on my trip. 1) All the walls started around 25' and
kept on going down. 2) The only limit was a request not to dive over
135'. 3) They ran under the assumption that we were all responsible
divers. It was great!
CW>I was also unhappy with carrying my regs, computer, and mask
CW>back and forth everyday. Breakfast is a problem, the dining
CW>room does not open until 7:30AM and the diveboats live at
CW>8:30 AM. This makes the time a little close in the
CW>mornings.
All the gear was left in the compressor/tank storage area. There were no
problems with theft while I was there. They also gave plenty of time btwn
eating and getting to the boat. The longest boat ride was about 10
minutes. Fantastic! Their US number is: 1-800-282-8932.
CW>Flying down on Cayman Airways we had a three hour layover in
CW>Miami that stretched to a 6 hour layover. Cayman Air said it
CW>had a plane out of service due to a bird flying into a radar
CW>antenna/engine, the story varied depending on who you spoke
CW>with.
We flow over on TACA Airlines, Miami to Honduras. Had Filet Mignon on the
flight down.
Give them a call for some info. Your group might prefer it.
