Doubtfull. It's not done to filter echomail in fidonet. All I know is,
there are spamfilters on usenet gateways.

Maybe you somehow duplicated the msgid, and the message got recognised and
dumped as dupe?

But that is easy to test. Just copy/paste the message text to a new
message, and make sure it has a new msgid, and make sure you change some
detail of the text, so it won't generate the same checksum on other
systems. And send...
