-> anybody out there who is familiar with a .45 made in argentina during
-> the late 30s into the early 40s, that is referred to as a
-> Ballester-Molina model (the name of the armory that produced the
-> pistols)?
-> i'm thinking of buying one (sight unseen) because the price is right
-> and the seller will allow a 2 week trial period. if the pistol is a
-> dud i can return it for any reason for full refund (except shipping
-> charges).
->
-> if anyone is familiar with this variety of the 1911A1 please e-mail
-> me: johnny@speedy.ehs.uiuc.edu.
Check with Ben Sansing. He is on the newsgroup rec.guns and in RIME
FIREARMS conference. He knows (or at least pretends to know) a lot
about Argentine .45's. He has an Argentine .45 which is their licensed
copy of the Colt .45. But I don't know which armory it came from. It's
called a M1927 or something like that.
