Yes, we had one of those also, a big press that did a decent job
of keeping the trouser creases sharp. By the time my interest in
photography came about it was long gone, but I wonder if it coudn't
have been used as a dry mounting press.. Put the print and mounting
board all set up in it, close the lever and maybe add a couple cinder
blocks on top. You would have to remove all that cotton batting first
of course. Do they still have and use those things in the local dry
cleaning places for the finishing touches.
