Hi, Mike here. You might have remembered me from awhile back, i quit
for awhile, but i'm back in this forum. Now, before i jump into this
Nintendo vs. Sony battlefield, i think i better state my opinion on the
two systems. I like both of them. Yes, i've played both the
playstation AND N64, i own the latter, but honestly, i think they both
have their good and bad points. The N64 has some great capabilities,
most of which probably haven't been explored yet, but the system does
have it's weak points. no cd access can bite a bit, but then again, i
really don't care much about cinematic video clips i can't play in the
actual game. also, i would like it very much if Nintendo would start
bringing more japanese games to the U.S. without heavily modifying
them. Remember kirby's avalanche for Snes? That was Puyo Puyo, with
all the anime characters taken out, and kirby characters put in. Now,
with Puyo Puyo 64 in japan, it looks like nintendo will rain on this
anime fan's parade. Now, as for playstation, i like their selection of
games. Quite a few good games, like Bust-a-move 2 (bust a move 3
coming out in feburary, yess!!!), dragon ball gt, etc. Now, the only
problem i have is cd's can be a real problem with games that have to
access a ton of info really fast. cd's have their limits. that's why
there's that annoying-as-all-hell pause when you morph with shang tsung
in mortal kombat. That's why there's a pause in wwf wrestlemania
(another fav of mine) in royal rumble matches when new cpu opponents
come into the ring. It seriously detracts from the game.
So there you have it. I'm just a plain anime fan, stuck between 2
systems, showing no complete loyalty to either. Oh yes! lmost forgot.
i know i'll get at ton of boos from this, but i like the saturn, too.
i mean, where will you find more anime rpg's on a system? I'm just sad
working designs, the creator of 99% of these rpg's, is moving to sony.
Knowing those dingbats, they'll probably modify the heck outta every
anime rpg they make, again raining on my parade.
Ok, i'm done, you can start replying now. try not to be to harsh. :)
