THAT is not inherently true. In order to create and foster a friendly chat
zone for people who like scanners and scanning, a certain amount of low-key
topical drift is tolerable. If the moderators sense it to be risky or
detrimental to the flow of the echo, we'll gently ask that the thread be
stopped. Topical drift is not a major consideration so long as it runs its
course and people are responsible about it.

That's good to know. I might drop in there myself. The PGP docs tend to be
way over my head and I feel a trifle nescient of the subject myself.
