The Soldier (1982) with Ken Wahl and Alberta Watson.  I don't recall if
it's captioned or not.  Hold on a minute... the videotape I have of it
doesn't say on the jacket, but I have captioning turned on on the TV in
case the din in the rest of the house rises to an unacceptable level.  I
suspect the DVD, if available, hold on... it's available at amazon.com on
VHS only.  It remains one of my favorite movies.
